As always on the 2nd Wednesday, Professional Chef Leslie Moore shared with us two; easy and healthy recipes:

TANGELO-PINEAPPLE PROTEIN SHAKE
Yield: 1 cup/serving

1 tangelo*-juiced, (makes 1/3 cup)
1/3 cup fresh, chopped pineapple
1/4 cup organic vanilla yogurt
2 ice cubes
1 Tablespoon "flavorless" whey protein powder

Process all ingredients in a blender or food processor for about 10 seconds. Enjoy!
This drink provides around 8 grams protein.
* you may substitute orange juice or experiment with another juice.


Chef Leslie CUCUMBER SOUP

2 Cucumbers, Peeled, Seeded, Chopped
1 Scallion, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon
Puree, then stir in the following and chill:

1 cup half and half
½ cup sour cream or plain yogurt
2 tablespoons minced dill
1teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco

Variation:
Add 2 garlic cloves to the first grouping and eliminate the ½ n ½ in the second grouping.
Thin with water or stock if desired.
